Growing up in a rural area, I grew up in an area surrounded by signs of a bygone era. While some my find these neglected buildings sad and as something that should be torn down. To me they serve as reminders of the pioneer and farm families that made up the heart of America. It reminds me of their struggles and accomplishments.
